Conspiracy theorists, scientists and doomsayers have long foretold that time is coming to an end. Will it be an apocalyptic event like nuclear war or global famine, will it be the Second Coming, will it be a pandemic of an incurable disease? Or, one day far in the future, will the Earth simply tick to a halt like a clock running down? It could be that none of these events will happen. Possibly the boundaries of the world as we know it will shift and change and realign. Perhaps they already are.
There are places in the world where the lines of what is known and what, until now, has only been imagined have already begun to blur. Tulum, Mexico. Crete, Greece. Isle of Scilly, Great Britain. And Eldritch Island, just off the coast of Darkwater, Oregon, where an abandoned lighthouse holds the key to an ancient and devastating evil that must be contained at all costs.
